Social Work Field Student Support Fund

Field education is one of the most important and rewarding components of pursuing a degree in social work. This is a time for students to practice and develop social work skills under competent supervision while impacting communities, families, individuals and policy. While the COVID-19 pandemic has changed many aspects of what we do in the School of Social Work, about 80% of our students are continuing their onsite field placements this fall. Direct field experience is critical for our students to get hands on learning in real life settings, and you can help them do that.

There are many out of pocket expenses that our students face during their field placements, and they often do not receive any financial support or reimbursement. Now more than ever, our students need your support to complete their field placements successfully. Your generosity will provide for an immediate need to our field students. This year, the School of Social Work hopes to raise $5,000 to support our field students, however the more money we raise, the more support we can offer to our students working in field.
