Scholarship Support for Active Duty and Veteran Military Service Members and Their Dependents

The College of Continuing Studies enables military service members and their dependents to let their computer become their campus and earn a degree from any location in the world. With more than 400 active duty military service members currently enrolled in an online degree program, providing financial support is crucial. For many military personnel The University of Alabama is their dream school. The College of Continuing Studies has eliminated the barrier of having to be on UA’s campus to earn an undergraduate or graduate degree, however cost is still a challenge. From veterans who have returned home, to active duty personnel who are in combat zones, a world-class education should be affordable for all those who served their country.

Our goal is to increase access to a quality education through the endowment of a fund in support of active duty and veteran military service members and their dependents. Working together, we hope to raise $25,000 during Bama Blitz 2020, enough to fully endow the fund to build a permanent source of support for those who have served. The College of Continuing Studies empowers lifelong learners to transform communities by delivering innovative education, consultation, and professional development. With your support we can empower more active duty and veteran military service members and their dependents to reach their education goals.
