Our Bama Blitz passion project for 2021 helps deliver on our promise to equip students with the skills to become future business leaders: The Culverhouse Communications Excellence Commons is a vital resource that provides technology to help students produce coursework, presentations, and professional portfolios.
But much more than that, the Commons is also the place to workshop ideas and get actionable advice on how to best articulate a complicated idea in a business setting.
Your support will allow the Commons to make an immediate investment in new equipment and human capital to better serve pressing student needs. The primary priorities include:
- Establish a design studio to teach students how to elevate communication through creativity.
- Integrate a video lab to allow students to create professional-grade multimedia presentations and job portfolio materials.
- Upgrade computers, printers, and other business technology to improve the ability to assist students.
However, your support will also catalyze an evolution of the Commons so that it can be well-equipped to serve all 9,000-plus Culverhouse students in the years to come. Bidgood Hall is slated for renovations in the coming years and an upgraded Culverhouse Communications Excellence Commons will be a focal point of the facility.
