With nearly 11,000 students, the College of Arts and Sciences is the largest of UA’s 13 colleges and schools. It is the academic heart of The University of Alabama housing the foundational disciplines on which all others depend: humanities, fine arts, math, natural sciences and social sciences. Internationally recognized scientists, writers, artists and scholars teach in our classrooms and labs, allowing our students to work closely with professors who are not only experts in their discipline, but also creators of new knowledge.
Your Bama Blitz contributions help the College of Arts and Sciences continue this tradition. The Hallowed Ground Project and Tours explores the history of slavery, the lives of enslaved campus laborers and their legacy at the University of Alabama through an alternate campus tour, publications, and public lectures. To date, over 5,000 individuals have taken the tour to learn more about this unappreciated campus history.
