At The University of Alabama School of Law, our students maintain an admirable focus on the work that is preparing them to be outstanding advocates for their clients. But what happens when students who do not have a financial cushion experience unforeseen financial challenges, interrupting that focus and impacting their ability to fully participate in all aspects of their legal education? The 1872 Fund for Student Aid is designed to help our students in times of need. With your support, we can help Alabama Law students concentrate on what matters—taking advantage of the benefits of one of the best legal educations in the nation. Contributions to the 1872 Fund for Student Aid during Bama Blitz will ensure that students who encounter financial difficulties will be able to fully participate in the Law School Experience and receive the support they need.
"At Alabama Law, we pride ourselves on supporting our students throughout their legal careers, starting from the moment they step foot on our campus. In my previous role as a faculty member and in my current role as Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, I have come to understand the many challenges that some of our students face and how unexpected events can create financial hardships that could potentially derail an otherwise promising legal career. I am so grateful for the support that allows us to assist students during these difficult times. I have personally witnessed the difference that this assistance can provide to students in need and am particularly proud to see this support coming directly from former students and from individuals who believe in and support the mission of the Law School. What a wonderful testament to the care these individuals have for our students!"
